Sony Ericsson was a joint venture established on October 1, 2001 by the Japanese consumer electronics company Sony Corporation and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson to make mobile phones. The reason for this venture was to combine Sony’s consumer electronics expertise with Ericsson’s technological leadership in the communications sector.

Despite the closure of the venture, Sony continues to lead mobile development with their Xperia brand.

Working in a capacity of Project Management, led a variety of exciting projects over a period of 5 years engagement. As an insight, the following are an example of just some of the assignments:

Teleris Teleprescence

Teliris VirtuaLive Telepresence is the most immersive telepresence solution on the market, delivering a natural and life-like video experience in a wide spectrum of meeting scenarios.

Technical Relocations where the organisation has moved offices nationally and internationally, requiring the move of standard infrastructure through to the relocation of technical lab equipment.

Data Centre builds on a small to medium scale upto @ 8,000 sq ft within existing premises to improve the environment within which servers and services we hosted.

Inter-site Disaster Recovery for large distributed offices based soley on Microsoft technology where the challenge was to provide the best possible recovery point and time objectives for minimal investment.

Teleprescence video conferencing, a particularly exciting project that led to huge changes in company culture of trvelling long distances. Building identical rooms from scratch working with Teleris as the delivery partner, the proof of the technology was definitely in the delivery, with an exceptional user experience delivered which caused a step change in mindset.

 

Site fitout, closure and de-commision of office space from 30 to 400 employees, working with site management companies and their contractors to provide suitable office space for the organisation to grow, from electrical first fit to office furnture, network and desktop equipment.
